I've tried to check for every mal-ware, virus, trojan, and anything else I could think of. I just installed SP1 as well, and then re-tried it again. Tried different driver versions, the official developer downloads and the Realtek downloads. So I restored the system back before that, and tried several different points up to a month ago with no luck. What I found was that there had been a restore point made shortly after I booted the system for an automatic update that didn't actually get installed. I tried to check what might have taken place in the mean time between closing it and booting the system again. I have had the laptop for five months and it has been working fine. The drivers say they are functioning, but seem to be in use and unavailable. Two days ago, I stated up my laptop from sleep mode and the sound was not working. THE UPPERFILTERS VALUE MUST BE A MULTI STRING VALUE, JUST NOT A " STRING VALUE".Ģ.Ok, here it is. IT APPEARS THAT WHEN GEARAspiWDM GETS INSTALLED IT DOES NOT CREATE A " MULTI-STRING VALUE", IT CREATES A " STRING VALUE", WHICH DONT DO NO GOOD. This will also take care of that "Itunes registry values." message that pops up right before the main i Tunes program begins. I can now re-create the "I tunes not recognizing any burning software" issue at will, and fix it in a heartbeat. I know that didn't help, but it sure felt good! Restored my computer to 6 months ago, got scurd, and re restored it to present settings.īASICALLY WHOEVER FIXES THIS ISSUE WILL TRULY BE DA MAN! Tried two different external burners- NADA.ģ3. Downloaded a bunch of stupid 'FREE SCAN!" registry fixer programs- what a waste that was.ģ2. ensured all device drivers up to dated.ģ1. Learned this issue has been going on since i Tunes version 4.0, but the most recent update made it all FUBAR.Ģ9. Learned that windows media player has no problem finding disc recording software.Ģ6. ![]() Learned to hate "No disc recording software found".Ģ5. Learned that the i Tunes "updates" sometime install software without you knowing about it-like "Mobile me".Ģ4. Returned to the Gear site multiple times:, and downloaded this a bunch of times!Ģ3. Looked online for software to convert the AAC encoded files to something I can use.Ģ2. Actually read, word for word, the i Tunes EULA, which hasn't been updated in over a year!Ģ1. Looked on my laptop I took to Iraq with me, and can still burn stuff from i Tunes (it hasn't been updated in a while) and copied it's older registry settings about "4D36E965-E325".thinking that might work, it didn't.Ģ0. Tried to install earlier versions of i Tunes.ġ7 Learned that my Library created with the latest version of i Tunes could not be read with an earlier version of i Tunes.ġ9. wrote a nasty email to I tunes support.ġ6. Wasted multiple blank discs trying goofy things to "work around" this issue.ġ4. Repaired i Tunes installation bout a dozen timesġ3. Become seriously involved with: GEARAspiWDMġ2. The current local date and time is 12:37:57.Īdapter Name: ħ. Intel Corporation Crestline & ICH8M Chipset Microsoft Windows Vista Home Edition Service Pack 1 (Build 6001) The music I want to burn I have purchased from itunes as an album and so I need to burn it within itunes. I managed to get that back and I am able to burn cds in windows media player 11. I am unable to burn cds in itunes, this was working fine until recently when I had a problem with the cd drive disappearing. ![]()
